“Creating Space for Healing, Connection, and Growth” (Texas Virtual Therapy)

Honoring Your Story While Supporting Your Healing

Therapy is a normal and healthy form of care, much like going to a doctor when you have a cold or seeing a specialist when something doesn’t feel quite right. You don’t have to be in crisis or “at your worst” to benefit from therapy. Many people come to therapy to better understand themselves, navigate stress, strengthen relationships, or get support during life transitions. Seeking therapy is not a sign of weakness; it’s a proactive step toward caring for your emotional well-being and overall health.

Therapy supports you in navigating life’s challenges with more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. I walk alongside you using evidence-based, relational approaches tailored to your unique story and goals.

“Healing happens best when we connect as people, not just as roles, and I will walk alongside you, not above you.”

You may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel like you. Perhaps you’re carrying the weight of family expectations, navigating relationship challenges, or trying to balance who you are with who you’ve always been expected to be. If you’re tired of holding it all together on your own, you’re not alone and you’re in the right place. With a strong educational foundation, research experience, and years of working with diverse populations, I offer a supportive, culturally responsive space for adults, couples, and families to explore what’s been weighing on them and begin the healing process.

My Approach to Working with Clients

A strong connection between therapist and client is essential for meaningful therapy, which is why I place great importance on building rapport and fostering a genuine therapeutic alliance. Therapy is most effective when the relationship works both ways, and it’s normal that sometimes a connection may not fully develop. In those cases, I follow ethical guidelines and the principle of least harm, which may involve referring you to another therapist or ending services to ensure you receive the best possible support. Likewise, if you feel that our partnership isn’t the right fit, it’s completely okay to end the relationship—this is not taken personally. The most important thing is that we both feel aligned and comfortable, because therapy only works when there is mutual trust, respect, and connection.

FAQ

  • In therapy, you’ll have a safe, supportive space to be heard and understood. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs, helping you explore challenges, build coping skills, and work toward the changes you want. Therapy can feel both reflective and practical, and every step is guided at a pace that feels right for you.

  • Yes. Everything you share in therapy is private and protected. The only exceptions are situations where there is risk of harm to yourself or others, abuse, or a legal requirement to report. I’ll always explain these limits so you can feel safe and supported.

  • Therapy can help anyone looking for support, understanding, or guidance through life’s challenges. You don’t need to be in crisis—therapy is also for managing stress, improving relationships, or simply exploring your thoughts and emotions. In the first sessions, we’ll see if our approach and connection feel right for you, which is normal and expected.

  • No, I do not prescribe medication. As a PhD, MFT, LCSW, I provide therapy and counseling to help you navigate emotions, relationships, and life challenges. If you are interested in or may benefit from medication, I can work collaboratively with your physician, psychiatrist, or other qualified medical professional to support your overall care.

  • The number of therapy sessions varies depending on your goals, needs, and the challenges you’re working on. Some people find a few sessions helpful for clarity or skill-building, while others benefit from ongoing support over several months. During our first sessions, we’ll discuss your goals and create a plan that feels right for you, adjusting as needed along the way. Therapy is a flexible process designed to fit your pace and what feels most helpful for you.
